Rural Medical Services (Rural Generalist) to join their Division
of Public Health & Rural Services on a Permanent Part-Time basis (40 hrs p.f.)

Your Opportunity
The Director of
Rural Medical Services (Rural Generalist) is accountable for leading,
directing, implementing, planning and evaluating the delivery of
medical services across all rural facilities within the Mackay Hospital and
Health Service to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Other Benefits
Remuneration
value up to $243,070 p.a. (40 hrs
p.f.) comprising base salary between
$88,401-$129,455 p.a. (L13-L27); employer superannuation
contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%) paid for 4 weeks
leave, professional development allowance, and professional
development leave 3.6 weeks p.a, salary sacrificing, employee assistance
and peer support programs, corporate membership
discounts, and fitness passport (conditions apply).
Mandatory
Qualifications - Mandatory possession of MBBS or
equivalent qualification from an AMC recognised tertiary institution, and
Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner
Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate.
- Fellowship of either the Australian
College of Rural and Remote Medicine or the Royal Australian College of
General Practitioners (FRACGP or FACRRM or FACEMS or other clinical
fellowships).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian
College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) or substantive progress towards
attaining FRACMA.
Desirable: - Advanced Skills Training (AST) and
eligibility for credentialing by the MHHS credentialing committee as a Rural
Generalist (RG), or substantive progress towards attaining RG, will
be highly regarded.
- Postgraduate (Masters level)
qualifications in health services management and public
health.

Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements
It is a
condition of employment for this role for the employee to be
and remain vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on
the Role Description.
