This course takes place outdoors and may involve physically demanding
scenarios, many of which occur on the ground. Participants should be prepared
for extended periods of kneeling, potential lifting, and moving over uneven
terrain.
Participants must ensure they wear weather-appropriate clothing that allows
movement and provides sun protection. Please wear enclosed footwear and bring a
hat, water, and sunscreen.
If you have any concerns about your ability to participate or require
reasonable adjustments, please contact us before registering—we are happy to
discuss ways to support your involvement.
Please note that PHEC focussed on the translation of your existing skills to
the prehospital environment and it is assumed that you will have prior knowledge
and competence in managing emergencies, these core skills are not explicitly
taught.
It is mandatory that participants complete the self-directed online learning
program (inclusive of MCQs) prior to attending the full day face to face
workshop and competency validation.
It is mandatory that participants be present for the entire duration of the
face-to-face workshop. Therefore, it is highly recommended for interstate
travellers to arrive at the course location at least one day prior to the
commencement of the course.
If for any reason a participant arrives after the course has commenced or
departs before the end of the course, they will be ineligible to compete the
course or be allocated the CPD/MOPS hours. The participant may be required to
re-book which will incur additional charges.
