allergy assist® is an education and support service available to GPs and rural generalists in Australia. Ongoing webinar sessions are offered to enhance confidence in managing common allergic presentations and available treatment options.

This webinar is presented by Dr Alan Baker, a clinical immunology/allergy specialist based in Port Macquarie who actively provides advice and support through the allergy assist platform. Dr Alan Baker is a full member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA).

What you will learn:

  • Overview of currently available adrenaline devices in Australia
  • Key features and delivery mechanisms of adrenaline devices
  • ASCIA guidelines for adrenaline (epinephrine) device prescription
  • Practical considerations for prescribing, patient education and transition between devices.

About the presenter :

 Dr Alan Baker is a clinical immunology/allergy specialist based in Port Macquarie, NSW. He trained in immunology at The Canberra Hospital, Concord Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Campbeltown Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital. Alan owns a private practice in Port Macquarie and participates in the general medicine roster at Port Macquarie Base Hospital. He is also a conjoint lecturer at the UNSW Medical School.
