HEART - Commencing 1st July 2025

A professional wellbeing course like no other, the HEART course is designed by Rural Generalists, for Rural Generalists.

The course aims to equip course participants with the knowledge and skills needed to safeguard their wellbeing against the psychosocial hazards inherent in the of practice of rural medicine.

Taking a systems approach, the course explores the factors that influence the experience of rural doctors. Integrating concepts from the fields of systems theory, human factors, and applied psychology the course explores how interactions among systems, culture, teams and individuals shape daily practices and wellbeing.

The course provides practical skills that will allow you to support protective factors and mitigate threats to wellbeing so that you can continue to make a positive impact, provide safer care to communities and thrive as a Rural Generalist.
