Otitis Media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children

The Otitis Media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children course will provide theoretical knowledge on ears and hearing, and clinical processes for health checks and management. This online short course was developed in partnership with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Deadly Ears Program. Its direction has been led by the results of a survey completed by primary health care clinicians who identified challenges regarding the identification, treatment, management and follow-up of children with otitis media, in particular in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

The content covered in this course is in line with the Otitis Media Guidelines for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children (2020), and the newly released Otitis Media Guidelines App. These are the national clinical guidelines for otitis media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
