Domestic, family and sexual violence

Upon completion of this course participants should have acquired the knowledge and skills to recognise that domestic, family and sexual violence is a major issue for public health and a patient’s wellbeing.
Participants should understand the professional role of a rural doctor/medical practitioner sufficiently to treat and support patients affected by domestic, family and sexual violence and contribute to its prevention and intervention at consultation, practice and community levels.
