Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Perform a structured eye assessment, including visual acuity, pupil examination, and fluorescein staining.
  • Recognise common and acute eye presentations, including those requiring urgent or emergency referral.
  • Initiate appropriate first-line management for common eye conditions in general practice.
  • Identify red flags for serious pathology, including vision-threatening conditions.
  • Triage and manage referral urgency in a rural and remote context.
  • Apply safe prescribing practices for topical ophthalmic medications.
