Youth Friendly Consultation Skills

The Youth Friendly Consultation Skills course aims to support you in working effectively with your adolescent patients. This will include considering youth health problems within the context of adolescent development, tips and tools for having a practice that is more accessible to youth, conducting youth friendly consultations, and further exploration of risk assessment tools that can be implemented with these patients.

The materials in this course were developed by the Maternity, Child, Youth and Paediatrics Unit in Ministry of Health and adapted for online delivery by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

The module is presented by Clinical Professor David Bennett (Adolescent Physician), an adolescent health physician with a major interest in the development of integrated, creative health services for young people and their families.
