Eczema is an increasingly common condition that is often managed in the primary care setting. It usually presents early in life and is often viewed as a minor condition. However, this belies the reality that for many sufferers, eczema can be a debilitating chronic condition. This Virtual Educational Visiting (VEV) CPD activity provides GPs with the opportunity to reflect on their practice, what challenges they face and have expert guidance to overcome barriers to treatment with their patients.

Hypertension is a very common condition in the Australian population, with a prevalence of approximately 35%. It is the most common problem managed in Australian general practice, accounting for just over 5% of all problems seen. Hypertension is an important and treatable independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, stroke and premature death. Managing hypertension in a range of patient settings is an essential skill for all GPs, and this webinar will provide an update on diagnosis and management of this condition.

This ALS 1 / Intermediate Life Support (ILS) course provides education and hands-on training for all clinicians who may be first responders or team members in resuscitation attempts.It includes simulations in ALS giving participants the opportunity to work as a team member including use of manual defibrillators, administration of ALS medications, supporting the team leader to assess and treat reversible causes and optimise post resuscitation care. This course is in-line with the Australian Resuscitation Council’s ALS1 course and follows ILCOR / ANZCOR resuscitation guidelines.

The aim of this education course is to equip GPs with the skills and knowledge to offer the option of HPV self-collection to their patients as part of the National Cervical Screening Program. On completion, GPs will be able to identify situations when self-collection can and cannot be used, appropriately manage results according to clinical guidelines, and support patients throughout the screening pathway. The course covers the progression of cervical disease and its relation to HPV infection, the current national policy and clinical guidelines on cervical screening and self-collection, as well as strategies to address barriers and promote enablers to cervical screening with a particular focus on vulnerable groups who are more likely to be under or never screened.
