The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Advanced Life Support Level 2 (ALS2)course focuses on developing skills, knowledge and confidence in managing medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest.This course is designed for healthcare professionals who would be expected to apply these skills as part of their day-to-day clinical duties. The ‘Birthing a Breech Education' (BABE©) Course is designed to focus on the woman at term with a breech presentation. It is a one day courseThe aim of the BABE© Course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills of the key practical issues in supporting a woman with a breech presentation, in particular, skills in managing an unexpected or planned vaginal breech birth and any potential complications. The course also offers an opportunity to review the evidence around vaginal breech birth, and identify the resources available, and referral pathways to services facilitating vaginal breech birth by skilled clinicians, thereby supporting the needs of the patient as well as being respectful of a woman's autonomy in their reproductive healthcare decision making.

Designed by Rural Generalists, the Advanced Life Support Level 2 (ALS2) course was created to meet the needs of rural doctors to support and enable them to exceed the standards set by the Australian Resuscitation Council. This two-day course provides you with the knowledge and skills to demonstrate your competency and improve your confidence in leading and managing Advanced Life Support presentations in rural clinical settings.The first component of the course is self-directed online learning and is designed to refresh and reinforce ALS guidelines, update new recommendations and evidence, and review the pharmacology and relevant pathophysiology components required to succeed in the course. The online modules will take approximately one day to complete.The second part of the course is delivered face-to-face. This training focuses on reinforcing your experience and knowledge by applying the online learning content and contextualising it to the rural environment. Delivered in a peer-to-peer learning environment, the one-day face-to-face training allows you to work with facilitators and other participants on a variety of real-world scenarios to demonstrate competency.

ETM is 3-day medical short course (similar to APLS, EMST) that covers the reception and resuscitation of adult major trauma patients. The course involves short, focused lectures, hands on practical skill training, small group interactive sessions and simulation/scenarios. There is an interactive, case based "ask the expert" session with a local trauma expert, which varies from course to course.Assessment is summative in the form of a pre and post course MCQ, and two OSCE style skill stations, as well as formative, with debriefing and feedback given after each scenario, and during the small group interactive sessions and procedure workshops.Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD program may claim ETM Course as a Major Haemorrhage Emergency Response Activity in their CPD portfolio.

The HEART course is a professional well-being program like no other — designed by Rural Generalists, for Rural Generalists. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills to protect their well-being from the psychosocial hazards inherent in rural medical practice.Taking a systems approach, it explores the factors that shape the experiences of rural doctors. Drawing on concepts from systems theory, human factors, and applied psychology, the course examines how systems, culture, teams, and individual factors interact to influence daily practice and well-being.Through four interconnected modules, participants build practical skills to strengthen protective factors, reduce risks to well-being, and respond effectively to challenges.
