The Australian guide to the diagnosis of FASD assists in the diagnosis, referral and management of FASD. Accurate diagnosis allows carers to better understand the challenges faced by individuals and helps with planning appropriate interventions and supports. Early diagnosis of FASD is protective, reducing the likelihood of later secondary conditions, thereby improving life outcomes. The risk of FASD occurring increases proportionately with the amount and frequency of maternal alcohol consumption. Given the variety of maternal and fetal factors that can influence outcomes from prenatal alcohol exposure, there is no known safe level of alcohol consumption for pregnant women. This is why it is important for all women who may become pregnant to be asked about the frequency and quantity of their alcohol use with a validated screening tool, such as the Audit-C for use in pregnancy.

Infertility affects approximately 1 in 20 Australian males, yet misconceptions and stigma continue to cloud awareness and access to care. In an effort to bridge these gaps, the first Australian evidence-based guidelines on male infertility have been released, providing a framework for best-practice diagnosis and management in the Australian healthcare system. Partnering with Healthy Male, in this webinar we will bring together leading experts in male reproductive health, including the new guideline authors. The panel will provide practical insights into the latest evidence-based approaches to diagnosing and managing male infertility and guide GPs in navigating patient care pathways.

The use of performance and image enhancing drugs (PIEDs)—including androgens, SARMs and peptides—is increasing among Australian males, often driven by body image concerns, fitness goals and social pressures. Despite the illicit nature of many PIEDs, users are often well-informed and motivated to minimise harm. However, they frequently encounter healthcare providers with limited understanding of these substances.General practitioners are uniquely positioned as trusted professionals to support these patients. This webinar, delivered by Healthy Male, will equip GPs with practical, evidence-based knowledge of the pharmacological actions, risks, and psychosocial factors associated with PIED use. Participants will build confidence in managing male patients using these substances and improve their ability to provide effective, patient-centred care.
