Recent guidelines from the International Menopause Society recommend there is no need for a mandatory limit to the duration of MHT.

The Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP) is a face-to-face educational intervention designed to improve the understanding, interpretation and management of cardiotocography (CTG) trace and associated fetal monitoring techniques. The full program is designed to benefit and provide education for all health professionals in Australia and New Zealand involved in intrapartum care. The full day program runs for seven hours and participants a complete the FSEP MCQ assessment at the end of the session. FSEPand comprehensively addresses the following topics: the physiology of fetal heart rate control, the normal CTG, maternal monitoring, the complete clinical picture, the abnormal CTG, case studies and 1 hour assessment.The content of the program is based on the input from expert clinicians and key stakeholders including maternal fetal medicine specialists, obstetricians, midwives and other medical staff. Content is reviewed at least twice a year and updates according to the most recent evidence based practice. Support materials of the program include: FSEP book (Fetal Surveillance: A Practical Guide), FSEP online program (OFSEP) and FSEP teaching and assessment tool. The program is supported by RANZCOG and incorporates the current RANZCOG Intrapartum Fetal Surveillance Clinical Guidelines.

GPs are involved every day in a wide range of issues, such as patient confidentiality, consent to treatment, dealing with complaints, providing reports and the keeping of medical records.
