The online learning covers all the foundations of anatomy, fractures /injuries, radiological findings, casting materials and methods for splinting and casting. The online content covers:analgesia and primary management of injuryanatomy of common fracturesradiology of common fracturesvaries casting and splinting materials - plaster of paster, fibreglass and thermoplasticsvideos of varies casting and splinting techniques and reasoning for type of techniquemanagement and care of limb post castreferral for specialist managementremoval of castsThe practical day provides the participants the opportunity to apply the casts and splints that have been covered in the online learning. See attached practical day learning planPost course, the participants must submit two de-identified casts they completed in their workplace and submit them to the facilitator for feedback.

The Western Trauma Course (WTC) covers the essential components of early trauma management incorporating interactive tutorials, graphic demonstrations and practical "hands on" skill stations including topics such as the management of adult and paed airways, chest decompression, management of shock and pain to name a few. Case scenarios give participants the opportunity to run through the full primary assessment of trauma patients. Case review allows discussion and feedback on actual trauma case presentations with expert clinicians leading the discussion.

Topics include:Complex trauma. Complex PTSD. Attachment disorders. Personality disorders. The ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) Course is a theoretical and practical course designed to assist health professionals develop and maintain the knowledge and practical skills to manage emergencies that may arise in maternity care. The philosophy behind ALSO is that women and their families will benefit from the standardised, multidisciplinary approach to maternity care demonstrated during the course. The ALSO course is not aligned with any professional institution, and run locally by ALSO (Asia Pacific Ltd) a not-for-profit organisation. All maternity practitioners know that there are many safe and acceptable ways of dealing with different emergency situations. The procedures and approaches covered in the ALSO course are reasonable, consistent and evidence-based and enable everyone to not only identify those at risk of obstetric emergencies but also to manage emergencies when they arise. The course benefits midwives, general practitioners and obstetricians, and others who provide maternity care. One of the great strengths of ALSO is its multidisciplinary nature – networking and socialising are viewed as key components in promoting the collaboration, good communication and inter-professional trust required for improve outcomes for women and their babies.
