Dealing with Depression in Rural Australia is a highly interactive, multidisciplinary program developed specifically to address the needs of clinicians delivering health care for people presenting with depression in a rural setting. Using a case-based problem-solving format, the program outlines a practical framework for assessment and management planning readily applicable to primary care.

The Certificate in Clinical Teaching and Supervision: General Practice is designed to develop and consolidate GP's knowledge, skills and confidence in their role as clinical supervisors to medical students, junior medical officers, GP registrars and other health professionals.There are 11 learning modules, each composed of two parts (A and B). The learning modules are designed to be 'stackable' according to individual preference and learning needs.One CORE module (Introduction to Clinical Teaching) plus any four SELECTIVE modules with pre-reading and completion of the associated assessment tasks are required for award of the full Certificate. Each full module including the pre-reading and associated assessment tasks takes around 4.5 hours to complete. The modules are accessible through the online learning platform 'CANVA' and consists of a power point presentation that includes links to videos, optional extension reading and medical education web pages. There are alsoregular pauses for reflection or small group discussion on case scenarios and the application of learning theories to practice for reinforced learning. All of the learning modules have been recently written by practising GP educators from the University of Newcastle, are practical based and very relevant for GP's currently involved in or wishing to undertake clinical teaching and supervision.
