Designed for General Practitioners, this webinar provides a practical framework for managing atopic dermatitis when topical corticosteroids (TCS) are insufficient or inappropriate. Focusing on sensitive sites such as the face, eyelids and flexures, the session explores the evidence-based use of non-TCS therapies, specifically topical calcineurin inhibitors pimecrolimus and tacrolimus. Guided by Dermatologist Dr Lena Ly and GP Dr Paul Grinzi, participants will navigate two real-world case studies covering paediatric facial atopic dermatitis and adult flexural dermatitis. Participants will learn to address steroid concerns, optimise foundational care, and implement a stepwise approach to steroid-sparing management in addition to determining when referral to a dermatologist is required and what other treatment modalities may be on offer for severe or recalcitrant cases.

Resuscitation Australia (RA) Level 2 (ALS2) course was developed to equip healthcare professionals (nurses, doctors, specialists, paramedics, and first responders) with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively recognise, assess, and manage critically ill patients and lead cardiac arrest situations until advanced support arrives. RA's ALS2 courseis a mixed-mode blended learning course comprising mandatory pre-course eLearning as well as attendance at the face-to-face training day. Assessment is formative. It complies with Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) Guidelines and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and is informed by European Resuscitation Council (ERC) Guidelines on Education for Resuscitation 2025, including using online learning modalities to provide flexibility in time and location for learners and to promote asynchronous learning. This program equips GPs with the knowledge and tools to enhance early identification and structured management of obesity as a chronic disease in primary care. Participants will complete pre-reading and attend live presentations - via webinar - focused on contemporary definitions, diagnostic criteria and evidence-based management frameworks aligned with current national and international guidance. They will also conduct a baseline audit to identify patients living with obesity, particularly those with cardiometabolic comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, ASCVD, CKD and heart failure, who may not be receiving structured follow-up or comprehensive risk assessment.Led by expert clinicians across endocrinology, general practice and allied health, the interactive sessions will provide practical guidance on diagnosis, risk stratification, care planning and communication. Case-based discussions will reinforce clinical decision-making and explore realistic, cost-conscious management pathways, including lifestyle interventions, team-based care and pharmacotherapy where appropriate.Following the session, GPs will complete a structured self-reflection exercise evaluating how their current approach to obesity aligns with chronic disease best practice, identifying gaps and outlining actionable improvements. Each GP will then review a defined cohort of patients from their baseline audit and implement structured measurement, recall and management strategies, including routine recording of BMI and waist circumference, risk assessment and shared goal setting. This structured approach ensures meaningful learning, supports guideline implementation and fosters measurable improvements in obesity identification, risk stratification and long-term management within primary care.
