TheEnhancing Cardiovascular Protection Through Vaccinationprogram aims to help practitioners to shift towards using vaccination to provide CV protection, instead of simply following seasonal or scheduled recommendations. This relationship between vaccination and CV risk is a lesser known aspect of preventive care, and increasing awareness and emphasising the importance of this relationship in improving patient outcomes. The program will equip practitioners to use EMR search, assessments and recall processes to identify and review the vaccination status of those at high-risk and with the potential for the highest preventive benefit. The session will address hesitancy in at-risk individuals and help practitioners integrate vaccination review and administration into standard CV risk management and chronic disease workflows. This program will help practitioners know how to increase and accelerate access to vaccines for those who would benefit most from them. The masterclass is chaired by GP Dr Anita Sharma, and co-delivered by A/Prof Adam Nelson, a cardiologist and clinical trialist, and Prof Allen Cheng, an infectious diseases physician. Through expert-led discussion and case-based reviews, participants will be able to identify opportunities to initiate protection conversations and aligning discussion with vaccination seasonal and clinical cycles. Structured self-reflection and patient review activities support practice change and alignment with CPD requirements.

Professional Boundaries in Health is an online self-paced course aimed for health practitioners, in relation to their professional obligations on how to maintain professional boundaries. It is on demand non-clinical e-learning, incorporating 3.5 hours of video, 3.0 hours of text, and 1.5 minutes of reflective writing / questions. With this course, practitioners will develop an in-depth understanding of what professional boundaries are, what can cause them to weaken, and how to put in place strategies to maintain them. The course covers the key definitions and the importance of language in discussing boundaries with patients and colleagues. It outlines categories of concern and the red flags which help spot problematic boundaries early, and delves into some of the psychodynamic reasons for boundary violations. Real life examples and case studies are discussed throughout, with the course providing detailed information and guidance on what can be learnt from that, along with practical models which clinicians can apply to their everyday practice. This deep dive into professional boundaries is jointly presented by David Gardner, solicitor and former AHPRA investigator, and Dr Wendy McIntosh (PhD), one of the most experienced professional boundary educators in Australia. At the end of the course, health practitioners should be in a great position to manage professional boundaries in their practice - and safeguard their career from a complaint.
