Ochre Health Lightning Ridge Opportunity:
This is a rare
opportunity for an experienced Rural General Practitioner VMO to work in an
iconic location such as Lightning Ridge. Lightning Ridge is famous for its rare
black opal, mining and eccentric colourful community.
Our facility is well-equipped and has
four consulting rooms, treatment/procedure room and on-site pathology. The
practice opening hours are from 8:30am to 5:30 pm Monday to
Friday. At Lightning Ridge GPs also partake in
the VMO roster at Lightning Ridge MPS (Hospital), which we hold a contract with
Western NSW LHD. Lightning Ridge MPS (Hospital) provides VMO services 365
days per year across ATS CAT 1-5. Each on-call shift is for 24hr where VMOs are
responsible for CAT 1-5 from 8am to 6pm and only responsible for CAT 1-2 after
6pm with the support of VRGS and V-Care. Lightning Ridge MPS (Hospital) has 4
Emergency beds, 4 acute beds, 1 respite/palliative care bed and 19 residential
aged care beds. Great opportunity to work in an iconic
location as a GP VMOs and earn from two income streams by working in general
practice and as a VMO at Lightning Ridge MPS (Hospital). GP VMO Offering:
- Great practice management and nursing support in place
- GP VMOs typically earn upwards of $550k to $650k per year depending on sessions and VMO participation
- $25K incentive payment
- $2,000 daily rate for each on-call (24hrs)
- 35% service fee with reduced service fee of 25% for after hours, residential aged care, home and hospital visits
- Reduction in moratorium, a reduction of 2 to 3 years as this is a MM6 and DPA location
- Fantastic Medical Educator that can provide supervision for ACRRM RGTS, ACRRM IP and RACGP FSP or PEP. Also an eligible location for RVTS pathway
- GRIP payments as MMM6 location, up to $35,000 in your 5th year
- Accommodation and vehicle, are provided for VMOs services with utilities, fuel, maintenance and services covered by Ochre Health
- Excellent Nursing support for chronic disease management
- Doctors have full autonomy and flexibility,
which means you control of your sessions, days and hours.
GP VMO Requirements:
- AHPRA General Registration or -FRACGP/FACRRM
- ALS2 certificate and recent emergency
experience (in the last 18 months) to provide VMO services to Lightning Ridge
MPS (Hospital)
