About us: 
Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed facility offering a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services, including Emergency, General Medicine and Surgery, basic Orthopaedics, Clinical Investigation, Obstetrics, Maternity, Gynaecology, High Dependency and Coronary Care, Palliative Care, Medical Imaging, Pathology, and Paediatrics. Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, Oral Health, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Speech Pathology, and outreach/community-based facilities, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre in Boyne Valley.  

About the role: 
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a specialist GP with Rural Generalist recognition to work collaboratively in a busy level 3 obstetric unit alongside specialist Obstetricians. The Rural Generalist (Obstetrics) position aims to provide Obstetrics and Gynaecology services to the Gladstone and Banana Shire group of hospitals. This role involves delivering expert Obstetric services at Gladstone Hospital and offering professional support to other facilities within the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.  

About you: 
Mandatory qualification/s: MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. 
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG) (advanced). 
Commitment to the principles of quality in health care including participation in quality improvement programs relevant to Obstetrics and Gynaecology services. 
Extensive clinical experience with appropriate knowledge and skills extending across the range of obstetric and gynaecological presentations, with an ability to work in relative isolation, deliver quality specialist care to patients in a clinical setting including directing the process of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfer, and discharge of patients.

Salary information: 
Total remuneration value of up to $458, 574 p.a. is comprised of: 
• Salary of between $210,332 - $251,527 p.a. (L18 – L25) 
• Salary of rate between $182,106 - $210,332 p.a. (L13 – L18) 
• Salary of rate between $182,106 - $187,801 p.a. (L13 – L14) 
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution 
• 17.5% leave loading
