Position Title: Senior Medical Officer (GP with
Special Interest - Women's Health)

We are seeking applications for a Senior Medical Officer in
Women's Health to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. The successful
candidate will deliver contemporary, evidence-based care to women across
Central Queensland, focusing on Women's Health services, including CQ Choices
(termination of pregnancy) and the Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS).
Working within a multidisciplinary team and approved clinical
scope, the successful candidate will provide care in various settings,
including hospital and clinic environments.
This role involves active participation in clinical
governance, service delivery, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits,
research, and service planning.

About us:
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main
referral hospital for Central Queensland. Services include Emergency Medicine,
General Medicine, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Cardiology, Nephrology,
Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatrics, Paediatrics, General Surgery,
Orthopaedics, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology,
Intensive Care and Anaesthetics. There are also a range of clinical services
provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland.
About you:
Mandatory qualification/s:
Appointment to this position requires proof of registration as a Specialist General Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
A primary medical degree and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
This position is required to work throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), at the Primary Health Network and General Practices as/where required.
The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and Scope of Clinical Practice for Specialists and Non-specialist Senior Medical Officers on staff. This is reviewed on a three-yearly basis. Your qualifications, registration and certified skills and competencies determine the scope of clinical practice you will be granted and subsequently your position title and salary status.
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $77,343 p.a. is comprised
of:
• An hourly rate between $87.25 - $89.98 p.h. (L13 – L14)
• An hourly rate between $87.25 - $100.77 p.h. (L13 – L18)
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
