Position Title: Senior Medical Officer - General Practice / Rural Generalist

Location:  Metro North, Kilcoy Hospital

 

Salary Range:  Please see role description ($84.71 - 124.05 per hour)

 

About the role

Permanent/Temporary Part time or Full time opportunity to provide clinical services to inpatients and outpatients of Kilcoy Hospital, including management of patients presenting to the Emergency Care Centre and providing clinical supervision of ambulant care services including day infusions and (in the future) renal dialysis.

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Initiate and be responsible for the clinical care of patients.
  • Arrange patient management in accordance with the best interests of the patient.
  • Consult with other hospital staff as required with respect to patient management and related issues.
  • Document relevant clinical information legibly, concisely and accurately.
  • Ensure the post-discharge care of patients is arranged as required.
  • Arrange the transfer of patients as required.
