About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast is seeking an
inspiring Clinical Director to provide professional leadership and guidance for
our primary care services across the Coast. This unique position offers the opportunity to complement
this leadership role with clinical work in Primary Care within the Northern
area.
As the Clinical
Director, you’ll be responsible for shaping, enhancing, and supporting the
primary care services and on the integration of primary and secondary care for
our rural generalist teams. You’ll work collaboratively with the Medical
Leadership Team to drive strategic planning, foster effective inter-professional
partnerships, and uphold the values of Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West
Coast. Key Responsibilities - Deliver and support clinical governance, and quality
improvement, ensuring high professional standards within primary
care.
- Act as a leader and advocate for clinical best practices
across the region.
- Engage with key stakeholders (including external
stakeholders), fostering collaboration to achieve Coast-wide healthcare
goals
- Lead strategic development, planning, and performance
monitoring for the workforce to ensure delivery of high quality efficient
primary healthcare
- Mentor, empower, and inspire teams to maintain effective
communication and deliver outstanding care.
Your Background
We’re seeking a
widely respected senior doctor with a demonstrated capacity for strategic
thinking and leadership in healthcare settings with a passion for delivering
high quality rural primary healthcare. You are proactive in fostering
cross-functional relationships and committed to promoting the principles of Te
Tiriti o Waitangi. Experience in rural and primary healthcare settings is highly
valued, and you are comfortable working in a diverse environment that values
inclusive and equitable care.
