for a change! CQ Health are re-structuring our Palliative Care service at
Rockhampton Hospital and are seeking a Senior Medical Officer to be an integral
part of our team!
About us:
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral
hospital for Central Queensland. Specialist Medical Services include Emergency
Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Haematology, Medical
Oncology, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine,
Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and
Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthetics. There are also a range of
clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in
Queensland.
About the role:
The Senior
Medical Officer (Palliative Care) will provide: - Inpatient community and consultative
specialist Palliative Care Services for CQ Health.
- Professional leadership to staff
across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), and to be an
active contributor to the multidisciplinary care team.
- Ensure the organisation, management
and provision of specialist clinical services in Palliative Care for CQ
Health.
About
you: - MBBS or equivalent eligible for
registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in General Practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) with extensive experience in palliative medicine. While not mandatory, it will highly regarded to have a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. What we offer:
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to
$458,562 p.a. is comprised of:
• A salary rate between $176,802 -
$244,201 p.a. (L13-L25)
• A salary rate between $182,106 -
$187,801 p.a. (L13-L14)
• 12.75% employer superannuation
contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
