package: $367, 122 – $448, 189 (+ shift penalty rates & on-call
allowance as per EBA) Includes 6 weeks leave per annum,

251 – $29, 670, Regional/remote attraction allowance:
$29, 670; Retention Allowance after 12 months
service: $37, 807; Practitioner Allowance (30% of base

Join Our Innovative Healthcare Initiative
in the Big Rivers Region! Big Rivers Region are looking for
dedicated and compassionate general practitioners (GP) ready to make a real
impact on community health. This role provides the chance to work in
diverse GP environments and allows you to deliver comprehensive GP services
across the full scope of your practice. This position has an attractive
remuneration package based on the NT Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement
and includes a base salary with on call and
overtime allowances, rural/remote living and retention
allowances, professional development allowance, and
superannuation. You will have 6+ weeks annual leave per
year, as well as study/professional development leave. You may
be eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program or the Workforce
Incentive Program. There are also Medicare incentive benefits for
those working in ED or community GP. Assistance with relocation expenses
and accommodation on arrival is provided. Contracts are fixed term and can
be up to five years. FIFO arrangements can be negotiated. Our Partnerships The Single Employer Model is a partnership
between NT Health, two Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services
(Katherine West Health Board and Sunrise Health) and Private General Practice,
Bauhinia Health. Your contract would be 0.4 with NTG and the remainder of
your time in one or two of our partner services. Flexibility is our key
strength and we can work with you to tailor a work package to your
interests. Health Services in the Big Rivers Region
include Katherine Hospital and over 20 Primary Health Care services over a
geographical area of approx 350,000 square kilometres. NT Health manages 4 of these primary
health care clinics, whilst KWHB services the communities to the west, and
Sunrise services communities to the east. Bauhina Health is a mainstream
general practice based in Katherine providing holistic person-centred primary
health care. Katherine Hospital is a 40 bed hospital
with three wards— medical, paediatric/post-op, and obstetrics and gynaecology
(O&G) wards as well as a medical day stay unit. The Emergency
Department sees varied and diverse medicine with approximately 17,000
presentations per year and a mix of adult and paediatric patients.
The Primary Health Care Clinics in the BRR
service largely Aboriginal populations across the full spectrum of health care.
The roles work closely with multidisciplinary clinic staff, outreach services
and provide preventative, clinical and emergency primary health care in the
Northern Territory. Work opportunities in the communities range from long term
GP attachments, to shorter visits 1-3 days visits and remote support.
Contributions to registrar supervision and teaching is encouraged and available
at many clinics. Who are we looking for? You will need: An interest in rural and remote
health. Fellowship of the Australian College of
Rural and Remote Medicine or the Royal Australian College of General
Practitioners. Applicants with advanced specialised
training or extended skills training are encouraged, including anaesthetics,
obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, mental health, indigenous medicine,
rural and remote medicine and palliative care.
