$403, 911 - $434,437 * + superannuation, shift penalty rates & on-call
allowance as per EBA If working in ED or community GP (KH-based): 50%
of Medicare billings (Revenue Activity Incentive payment) *comprised of Base salary (RG1-SRG3): $244,
227 – $262, 168 Professional development allowance: $21, 603 - $28,

Allowance (30% of base salary): $73, 268 – $78, 650 A newly created senior role with the
opportunity to lead, develop and provide medical services in remote and rural
settings working alongside a committed team of rural generalists, GPs
and trainees, with some of Australia’s greatest National Parks at your
doorstep. Big Rivers Region (BRR) is seeking an experienced
medical practitioner with a passion to lead and develop Primary Health medical
services in the Region. This newly created role provides an exceptional
opportunity to experience and develop rural and remote Primary Health Care in
the Northern Territory. Based in Katherine, the role will include a
significant clinical fraction and provide clinical leadership to the remote
health care clinics managed by BRR at Borroloola, Numbulwar, Pine Creek and
Robinson River. The role can be established with flexibility to support your
interests, including rural and regional general practice, rural generalist, and
emergency medicine. We have a flexible senior roster with opportunities for
self-education and upskilling, cross-divisional practice and junior doctor
supervision. Through our evolving Single Employment model,
there is the potential to split this role with other agencies in the Region,
working under a single contract. Based in the Big Rivers Region of the Northern
Territory and serving 21 remote Aboriginal communities, Katherine hospital is
uniquely placed to offer the challenges of tropical medicine, trauma,
remoteness, high acuity and patients with complex comorbidities. You would join
our stable and collegial senior clinical team consisting of rural generalists
general Physicians and an Emergency specialist. Katherine maintains good working
relationships with retrieval services and the Royal Darwin Hospital providing
scope for maintaining professional networks and skills and enjoys a close
relationship with the Flinders University Northern Territory Medical Program
allowing for plenty of teaching and supervision opportunities. The position comes with an attractive
