Coonamble Aboriginal Health Services are seeking to
employ an experienced GP, locum or registrar to join our practice team in either
a full-time, part-time or choose your own fly-in/fly-out working
arrangements.
At CAHS we care for the whole community from pregnancy and early childhood,
men's and women's health, preventative care and health promotion, complex
chronic disease management, geriatrics and palliative care. With the support of
our nursing staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, friendly receptionists and onsite
management team, we pride ourselves in providing high quality medical care for
our patients. We are also supported by a visiting dietician, podiatrist,
pharmacist, optometrist, audiologist, Cardiologist, Womens Health and diabetic
educator. The clinic also has access to regular telehealth clinics with
specialists.
CAHS is a bulk billing clinic, operating between 8:30am and 5pm weekdays with
no weekend shifts. On average GPs are expected to see between 15-20 patients
per day.
The successful applicant will be offered a generous salary with the
option of further negotiations inclusive of superannuation. You will also have
access to generous salary packaging options. Accommodation and vehicle will be
available to assist with relocating to the region.
About You:
You are a fully registered medical practitioner with AHPRA and bring experience
in primary health care, ideally with an understanding or willingness to learn
about the unique needs of remote Indigenous communities. You are a clear
communicator, collaborative team member, and are deeply committed to culturally
safe, person-centered care.
Holding fellowship
with either ACRRM or RACGP is highly essential, and advanced skills in areas
such as obstetrics, emergency medicine, or other rural generalist disciplines
would be a significant advantage. You’re comfortable using digital health
systems, and previous experience with billing Medicare is advantageous.
You hold a
current C-class driver’s license and have (or are eligible to obtain) an NSW
Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance. You’re also willing
and able to hold appropriate medical indemnity insurance.

proof of right to work in Australia (sorry, no sponsorship is offered).
