Join Our Team as an Emergency Department
Consultant: Deliver Expert Care and Lead the Way in the Riverland
Community We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Consultant to join our team and provide high-quality emergency medical services within the Riverland community and the broader Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN). This is your opportunity to deliver exceptional care while taking on a leadership role in education, training, and operational management.
About the Role:
As an Emergency Department Consultant, you will:
- Provide clinical services of the
highest standard in the Emergency Department across a 24/7 roster.
- Work with limited or no direction,
exercising a high degree of professional judgment and clinical competence in a
multi-disciplinary setting.
- Take responsibility for the smooth
day-to-day management of the clinical floor.
- Respond to hospital MET/Code
Blue/Code Black calls as required by allocation on shift.
- Provide supervision, training, and
direction to more junior staff as needed.
- Participate in teaching and quality
assurance activities, while also engaging in health promotion and community
education initiatives.

What We’re Looking For: - Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of
Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and
registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with
Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical
Officers Award.
- Must hold a specialist qualification
with the following colleges - RACGP, ACRRM and ACEM and be registrable as a
specialist with AHPRA.
- Granted specialist registration by
the medical board for relevant specialty e.g. G/P, ACEM.
