The Mackay Base Hospital have opportunities available for a Registrar or Principal House Officers to join their Emergency Department on a Temporary Full-Time basis (76hrs p.f.)

About the Department 
The Emergency Department has 21 Acute bays that include 2 Resus Bays and 4 High Dependency bays, 12 Consult bays and a 14 bed Short Stay Unit.  The Department is accredited for Specialist Fellowship Training by ACEM, ACRRM Advanced Skills Training (AST), and RACGP Core Generalist Training (CGT).  

We are an Adult/Mixed Non-Major Referral Base Emergency Department for Mackay Hospital & Health service, currently Accredited as a Tier 3 Training Site for 12 Months of Training in Emergency Medicine.   

Your opportunity 
A Principal House Officer or Registrar is a medical practitioner in fourth or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner.  This role is required to participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to hospital clients; and contribute to the continual improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and clients. 

Remuneration & Other Benefits 
Remuneration value up to $172,273 p.a. comprising base salary between $4,966 p.f. - $5,758 p.f. (L4-L9); employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%) paid for 4 weeks leave, professional development allowance, and professional development leave 1.6 weeks p.a.  

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements 
It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be and remain vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.
