St Luke’s Family Practice Katanning is seeking a full-time General Practitioner to join our well-established, family-focused practice. This exciting role includes Emergency Department on-call duties within a thriving agricultural community, offering the opportunity to experience genuinely diverse and rewarding rural medicine.
Located in Katanning—just
280 km from Perth—our practice provides comprehensive general practice services
alongside 24-hour Emergency coverage at the local hospital. The hospital
operates 24/7 with rostered doctor coverage and clinical support from the
Emergency Telehealth Service (ETS) to assist with fatigue management and acute
presentations.
Katanning is well known for its rich
multicultural community, with strong Aboriginal heritage and vibrant migrant
populations, including long-established Malaysian, Filipino and other Southeast
Asian communities. This cultural diversity creates a unique and rewarding
clinical environment, offering exposure to a broad range of cultural health
perspectives, languages and community networks. GPs working in Katanning have
the opportunity to deliver culturally responsive care and build meaningful,
long-term relationships across diverse population groups.
In addition to our main Katanning site, the practice
operates an additional clinic in Wagin and delivers regular outreach clinics to
Kulin, Dumbleyung, Tambellup, Frankland River, Darkan and Williams,
strengthening access to primary care across the Great Southern region.
This position offers exceptional clinical variety,
including exposure to a broad range of presentations and acute scenarios,
supported by highly experienced and well-respected mentors and supervisors. With
over 20 years of continuous ownership by the same rural GP, St Luke’s Family
