career in a unique, culturally rich coastal setting. As a Senior Medical
Officer (Rual Generalist or Vocational Practitioner) at Yarrabah Emergency
Service, you will deliver high‑impact emergency and primary health care within
a collaborative, community‑focused model of care.
Located just 45 minutes from Cairns,
Yarrabah provides the rewarding challenge of rural practice, diverse
presentations, close‑knit teamwork, and meaningful community relationships set
against the backdrop of Far North Queensland's spectacular coastline.
Yarrabah Emergency Service provides
24‑hour emergency care, primary health services, and continuity of care in
partnership with Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service Aboriginal Corporation,
offering services ranging from clinics and allied health to community health
and renal dialysis.
Remuneration value $93,784 up to
$137,339 per annum (L18-L27) part time 40 hrs/fortnight, employer contribution
to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional
development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave
3.6 weeks p.a., private practice arrangements, plus an Inaccessibility
allowance of $41,400 per annum FT (category 2) 50% paid after 6 months
completion period and 25% paid in 3 monthly instalments thereafter, applies
to part time SMOs on a pro rata basis.
