Staff Specialist looking for new opportunities? Join the dynamic Medical Unit at the Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) supporting the provision of comprehensive medical and psychosocial services to marginalised populations.

The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is a specialised service within SESLHD’s Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Services. KRC provides targeted primary health care for people experiencing homelessness, people who inject drugs, people engaged in sex work, “at risk” young people, First Nations people and LGBTQI+ communities. You’ll join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team with a strong culture of social justice, harm reduction, collaboration, innovation and providing “health for all”.

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is “exceptional care, healthier lives”. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it. In this role, you will provide expert medical assessment and management across primary health care, sexual health, HIV, viral hepatitis and addiction medicine within a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with often complex medical and psychosocial needs. You will also contribute to clinical leadership, supervision and teaching of trainees and junior staff, and participate in research, audit and quality improvement activities that strengthen care across KRC and the broader SHBBV service.

This position is suitable for a medical doctor with: a fellowship in sexual health medicine, with experience in primary health care; a fellowship in addiction medicine, with experience in primary health care; or a fellowship in general practice.
