We are seeking GPs to work part time or
casual. Lavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks,
the largest Army base in Australia. It includes the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to
undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment.
The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical
outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical
care to approximately 8000 members. It also operates a 24/7 inpatient low dependency ward.
The standard operating hours of the centre
are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and
specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
What you will do - Deliver high-quality primary care to
Defence members
- Occ Med environment
- Work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary clinical environment
- Conduct fitness-for-duty
assessments and pre/post-deployment care
- Provide medical advice to
Defence health leadership
What you
bring - Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a
General Practitioner
- FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ GP
experience in the last five years
- Current CPR certification
(HLTAID009) or willing to obtain it
- Australian Citizenship
required (Baseline Security Clearance)
