As a Medical Officer with Private Practice at Baralaba Multipurpose Health Service, you will manage a diverse clinical caseload including emergency care, acute inpatients, and aged care, while operating a separate general practice clinic. This role offers the rare opportunity to provide end-to-end community care in a functional, spacious environment where every inpatient room features unique rural views. The Opportunity 

  • Contemporary Facility: Work in a relatively new MPHS with a 2-bed Emergency Department and modern X-ray area designed for excellent patient flow. 
  • Clinical Variety: Provide primary care, emergency response, and inpatient services for the local community and surrounding districts. 
  • Professional Growth: Access significant training incentives and a $22,145 p.a.
  • Professional Development Allowance, with coaching available from the Executive Director Medical Services. 
  • Total Package: Remuneration up to $350,690 p.a. (MOR1-3) inclusive of a substantial $27,600 Inaccessibility Incentive Allowance.  

About You 

  • Qualifications: You hold an MBBS or equivalent and are eligible for AHPRA registration. 
  • Certifications: You possess or are working towards ACLS, APLS, and EMST certifications. 
  • Fellowship: You hold, or are working towards, Fellowship of ACRRM or RACGP (FACRRM/FRACGP). 
  • Experience: You bring skills in emergency medicine, primary care, and a sound knowledge of Aboriginal Health and public health. 
  • Collaborative Spirit: You are a team player who communicates effectively with multidisciplinary teams and community groups.
