The Role
of Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) – Emergency
Department This is a new role in the department to help
support and develop our Senior Resident Medical Officers (SRMOs) transition
towards becoming a Registrar. As one of our SRMOs you’ll provide
emergency care to patients attending the Emergency Department (ED) at the Royal
Hobart Hospital (RHH). You will be encouraged to learn, grow
and develop as a confident junior doctor, demonstrating the skills &
knowledge gained whilst working throughout the year working as SRMO within
ED. Salary $121,540 per annum pro rata base salary plus
superannuation Salary range is in accordance with the
Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025 Period of
Employment Fixed term, full-time (and part-time hours
available), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 February
2027 to 8 February 2028. Duties For a full list of duties, refer to the
Statement of Duties and Associated Documents. Duties include: - Assessment and management of
Emergency Department patients
- Care of patients admitted to the
Emergency Medical Unit (EMU).
- Involvement in Quality Assurance
activities.
