About the Role

  • Deliver comprehensive, patient-centred primary care in a well-established rural general practice.
  • Opportunity to undertake Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) work at the local hospital.
  • Manage a broad range of acute, chronic and preventative health conditions across all age groups.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team with strong links to Tamworth and regional specialist services.
  • Participate in the teaching, supervision and mentoring of medical students, GP registrars and junior medical officers through established university and training partnerships.
  • Contribute to a culture of lifelong learning, quality improvement and excellence in rural healthcare.

Essential Requirements

  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM (or eligibility).
  • A commitment to high-quality rural healthcare and community engagement.
  • An interest in teaching, mentoring and supporting the future rural medical workforce.
  • VMO eligibility or willingness to obtain credentialing is desirable.
