Why Katherine?
In Katherine, you'll practise across the entire continuum of child health care:

  • Review children presenting to the Emergency Department

  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families and communities through continuity of care

You'll work alongside a supportive team of Rural Generalists, Emergency Physicians, General Medicine Physicians, experienced nursing staff and allied health professionals, with specialist paediatric support from Royal Darwin Hospital.

Medicine You Won't Find Anywhere Else

Under the Single Employer Model, Katherine Hospital staff have the option to work with the three regional ACCHO providers and the private GP practice. Medical staff also offer outreach services to remote communities.

Shape the Future of Rural Child Health
Katherine Hospital is committed to expanding local paediatric capability so neonates, infants, toddlers and adolescents receive care closer to home and Country. You'll have opportunities to contribute to service development, quality improvement, teaching and workforce growth as part of a hospital actively investing in its future.
