Looking for a flexible rural GP VMO
role where you can combine General Practice with Emergency Medicine while making
a real difference in a remote community?
Ochre Health Brewarrina is looking for an
experienced FRACGP or FACRRM GP VMO with strong Emergency Medicine skills. Set on
the banks of the Barwon River, Brewarrina offers a relaxed outback lifestyle,
strong community connection and a genuine rural medicine experience.
What we offer - Weekly income guarantee
- 65% of GP clinic billings, with
additional income through hospital VMO work
- High earning potential across
GP and VMO work
- $1,400 VMO on-call rate per
day
- Hospital VMO coverage of
approximately 5 days per week during your working block, 8am to
8am
- Ideally 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
FIFO, with other roster arrangements open for discussion to suit your
availability
- Accommodation and vehicle
provided
- VRGS support, providing additional
virtual Rural Generalist medical coverage
- Experienced hospital nursing
support
- Opportunity to maintain and continue
using your Emergency Medicine skills
- MM7 and DPA location with
access to eligible rural workforce incentives

established clinical protocols and nursing support
About the role You will work across Ochre Medical Centre
Brewarrina and Brewarrina Multipurpose Service, combining General Practice with
Emergency Department and inpatient VMO work.
The role offers genuine rural medicine exposure
while being supported by experienced hospital nurses and the Virtual Rural Generalist Service (VRGS).
What we are looking for We are looking for
a FRACGP or FACRRM Fellow with recent and strong Emergency Medicine
experience who is confident managing acute presentations and comfortable working
independently in a rural setting. Current ALS2 or equivalent emergency
certification is required.
