weekdays are in Wadeye. Your weekends off are in Darwin. Prescript Recruitment is seeking
experienced FACRRM and FRACGP Rural Generalists for locum placements at Wadeye
Health Centre throughout 2027. This is an excellent option for doctors
who enjoy genuine remote medicine but value being able to return to Darwin at
the end of each working week. The
opportunity - From $2,772 per day + GST
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
- Fly Darwin to Wadeye Monday
morning
- Return to Darwin every Friday
afternoon
- Weekend accommodation in Darwin
provided
- 4-week blocks preferred
- Minimum 3 weeks for first-time
Wadeye locums
- Returning locums may be considered
for 2-week blocks

The role combines primary care,
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, acute presentations and emergency
medicine in a genuine remote setting. There may occasionally be periods where
you are the sole doctor onsite, however strong nursing support and senior
medical support are available Essential
requirements - Doctors must have:
- FACRRM or FRACGP Fellowship
- Current AHPRA registration
- Recent Indigenous remote health
experience within the past 2 years
- Current ALS2, APLS or REST
- Current CPD
- Two current references, including
your most recent line manager and a referee relevant to remote Indigenous
health
Non-Fellowed doctors cannot be
considered. Prescript will support you throughout
the placement, including credentialing, paperwork, travel and
